Dr Sagi Denenberg graduated from the veterinary school in Kosice, Slovakia. After graduation, he relocated from Israel to Canada to pursue his specialisation. Dr Denenberg is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine. Also, he is an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine and has passed the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Surgeons membership examination in behaviour.

Dr Denenberg leads the psychiatric services at Langford Vets, at the University of Bristol, England, where he teaches students and engages in research. Also, Dr Denenberg has animal psychiatry services in Toronto, Canada.
