There are several important mimics of seizure activity that can confuse the diagnosis of seizures which include syncope, movement disorders, sleep disorders and behavioral abnormalities. Video footage of these events will be used to describe the characteristics of these events and differentiate them from seizure activity. The investigation of a patient with seizures will be described followed by a discussion on treatment indications and decision making.
