This presentation describes how different metabolic, hormonal, neurological, and infectious diseases can alter the pet’s behaviour. Also, we discuss the effects of pain on behaviour. This presentation aims to allow the clinician to make an accurate diagnosis, address pets where an initial problem leads to a secondary behavioural abnormality, and manage cases where both (behavioural and physical) pathologies occur at the same time.
