This presentation will review the concept of neurotransmitters pathology leading to pathological behaviours. We will cover pathological arousal and impulsivity disorder that may lead pets to show aggression, abnormal and repetitive behaviours, disconnect from their owners, and dysthymia. The presentation aims to give the clinician the tools to identify pets who suffer from these conditions and tools to manage these pets. These conditions are not common. However, they can be devastating to the pet and its owners. Early identification and prompt care can improve the prognosis of these conditions.
